Okay, this is gonna be a long post, so read the whole thing before you make a vote.
Alright, if you were a wikia member since December of 2015 or before that and you were active, you most likely remember the Spongebobfan123 incident. If you don't know what happened, it started when a dumbass by the name Captain Sans Nightmare (which is me), saw a peridot page, now... I thought it was a crossover oc without even looking at the page and comparing it with peridot. I deleted the page twice, and told the user that we don't allow crossover characters anymore. She got upset, now it wasn't until later why she got really upset which made me feel more awful. However, users were defending her, which i'm glad they were. Later, emeraldpit made a proposal about what we should do with crossover ocs. I opposed, others did. SBF123 gave out her opinion saying they should be allowed. It then escalated into the community bashing her, and her friends joined in to defend her. One of her friends said something I got butthurt other (I have nothing against her and anyone else), and I went apeshit and we all did. Eventually, sbf123 and all her friends left this wikia. I felt really really awful for my outburst, and felt like shit. AuroraFlaky linked the users (including me) to her own htff wikia, to allow them post whatever content, and to make them feel safe to express their opinions. This is the nicest thing I saw her do from my 1 year spent here. She also was one of the first users to spend time with SBF123 to get to know her better, which was also very nice since no one didn't do the same until much later. After this, we did admin revisions and rule revisions.
The admin revisions were amazing, and they still do well for us admins that were given suggestions to change. However, the rules obviously not so much. Otherwise, I wouldn't be making this. At first, the new rules were good for a while. As time went by, we noticed that the rules weren't as good as we initially thought and that most of them weren't really benefiting us. It wasn't until recently when many people were being disrespectful to AuroraFlaky, and they were rude to her. She briefly left but came back, and people still chose to be disrespectful to her, this morning I posted a blog giving my two cents telling this wikia to stop acting like little jerks, and to grow up. Which, I assume it worked but time will tell. However, AuroraFlaky posted on the crossover proposal blog from December, giving her opinion how SBF123 had everything in her right to defend herself which I completely agree with her statement cuz I spent a lot of time with SBF123 and I knew more about her. And AF said that the rules hadn't really changed, and users are treating AF like SBF123 was treated in December, and it looks like users are trying to take AF's platform of defense from her because they misinterpreted her behavior as "rude." or said mean shit to her or behind her back. I looked at the rules, and compared them with the old rules, they both are terrible. Mostly because our new rules were only suggested by one user, and we as a community didn't get a chance to give suggestions how the rules should be.
Now, i'm asking for ten votes. Ten supports, we will initiate the rule revision, ten opposes we don't do it until we decide to. And ten neutrals, they won't count but your opinion will be read.
Once this is passed, each user in this community will vote which rules to keep, remove, or change. And if change, the users will give out their ideas on how this rule should be, and we will get to vote which rule idea should be the new change for that rule. This will take a long time.
If other users said most of your points or said what you were going to say. Put that other users said your reason.
