"A Pumpkin a Day" is a Halloween-themed episode of the Happy Tree Friends fanon series, as well as an episode of Specy Spooktacular VII. It introduces Fidget, a rabbit engineer and mechanic who has the tenancy to build complicated machinery for trivial tasks, and Skizzy, a tall jerboa who is constantly hungry and eats anything he sees.
The episode starts with a pumpkin being carved by a knife. However, no one is holding the knife, but rather, a machine built by the rabbit engineer Fidget. Seeing the machine works, she heads to her pumpkin patch to carve more pumpkins, only to find bite marks on a pumpkin. She then spots a huge pile of pumpkins, some of which have bite marks similar to those of the pumpkin she saw. A tall, famished jerboa named Skizzy suddenly pops up from the pumpkins, munching on one of them.
Noticing the situation, Fidget thinks for a bit before getting an idea, leaving the pumpkin patch to Skizzy. The scene then skips to Fidget holding a device with a net, arriving at the pumpkin patch to see almost all the pumpkins eaten by Skizzy. In a hassled panic, she launches the net onto the poor jerboa. However, the net starts to tighten around him, causing her to realize the error she made with the device, causing him to get sliced into pieces and die. The last scene shows Fidget using the carving machine to carve another pumpkin, but notices that the pumpkin was another one Skizzy took a bite out of.
