I'm getting myself pumped up for the final Sakurai Presents tomorrow. While I'd personally love Crash Bandicoot or Waluigi, I feel one of the more likely candidates for the last fighter is a Pokemon or Fire Emblem rep. Whatever character we end up with tomorrow, it'll mark the end of an era. But I think we can all agree Sakurai has more than earned a break at this point.
So I pulled a MythBusters and tried to see whether or not Dark Side Of The Moon really does synch up with The Wizard Of Oz and it really, really doesn't. I had a feeling it was all bullshit lol.
I had this little idea for a fanfic that parodies the plot of Space Jam: A New Legacy. It stars the Happy Tree Friends characters, who have all gone their separate ways into different web cartoons and must reunite to face off against YouTube's algorithm. Basically it's a crossover of popular web series instead of Warner Bros. properties and the Happy Tree Friends are the Looney Tunes in this scenario.
I'm too lazy to write it and I haven't watched Space Jam 2, so I'm leaving it here just in case anyone's looking for inspiration.
Call it something like Happy Tree Friends: A New Massacre.
Unpopular opinion time: I chose Lisa to be my newest avatar because she's one of my favorite characters on The Simpsons. Much like how Meg Griffin is one of my favorites on Family Guy and that weird Marilyn Manson looking dude in the closet (Richmond) was always one of my favorites on The I.T. Crowd.
DJ Lance? DJ Lance? DJ Lance? DJ Lance? DJ Lance?
I wonder if Loki doesn't like it when people use the word "lowkey" because he always automatically assumes their talking about him.
I have actually enjoyed Family Guy this season believe it or not. Fewer cutaways, no more obscure '80s references I don't understand, and Brian actually being likeable for a change! Sign me up! :D.
Not only have the cutaways been fewer but the ones they do include have all been genuinely hilarious so far. The ones with Sean Hannity, JK Rowling's transphobia, Boston Superman, and the board game Clue are the ones I laughed the hardest at but the other ones have all been good too.
I heard something that absolutely shook me to my core earlier today and I've been severely depressed ever since. I don't want to get overly political but it came from FOX News anchor Jessie Waters. I don't feel comfortable completely repeating what he said word for word because I don't want to bring any unwanted attention to it but the basic gist of it revolved around saying Dr. Anthony Fauci should die!
Fauci is someone that I've deeply respected since the pandemic first begun. He's just a good man trying to help out his country during one of the most difficult times we've ever faced. COVID isn't his first rodeo either, Fauci's long and respectable career goes all the way back to the AIDS crisis in the 1980s. Hearing disgusting comparisons about him such as when that other FOX News chick (I forget her name) recently compared Fauci to a Nazi concentration camp "doctor" who did dangerous experiments on Jews, I was merely offended but this one absolutely depressed me. Why? Because it could have actual severe real world consequences. I'll admit that I myself have made certain lighthearted jokes at the expense of Fauci over the past couple of years and also enjoyed it when SNL similarly poked fun at him. But that's the thing, they were merely just jokes. No actual harm was intended, I was just taking a person who's currently relevant and putting an exaggerated spin on his personality. Me joking around about Fauci is no different than when I poke fun at Billie Eilish or Elon Musk.
Hearing someone express such hatred towards a man who only wants what's best for America and it's citizens to the point of literally WISHING HE WOULD DIE, has truly messed me up something awful. I just don't feel like myself today, to the point where I'm borderline traumatized in a sense. The fact that any human being is even capable of thinking up such evil is astounding let alone shouting it on NATIONAL TELEVISION where God knows how many of those crazy January 6th insurrections could potentially hear it and get ideas.
