Plot[]
Purrsy Cat is seen working at an animal shelter run by the Mole. Lumpy comes in wanting to purchase a cat for a pet show. Purrsy, seeing this as an opportunity of a lifetime, locks herself up. Lumpy tours the shelter but isn't satisfied by any of the breeds, until finding Purrsy and finding her a good choice. The Mole unknowingly allows Lumpy to leave with his worker.
As the two stroll down the sidewalk, Purrsy daydreams about winning the pet show and becoming famous. They pass by Stilton drinking a bottle of water, some of which drops on Purrsy's head and spooks her out. Some of her quills are sent flying and pierce Stilton in several places. Oblivious to Stilton and a few birds falling dead, Lumpy calms down his "cat" by hitting her head with rolled up newspaper.
They finally reach the pet show, where other pets are already being judged. Petty has Norman sit on a table for Dr. Pet to administer booster shots, but Petty is the one to recieve the shots instead. Lumpy allows Purrsy to hang with the other cats. Niya stands by Mittens and a saucer of milk, when she grows curious at the sight of Purrsy.
Niya hasn't seen such a prickly cat before.
A judge, Kitty Kat, calls Lumpy to present his pet. Lumpy uses a laser pointer to get Purrsy's attention. Purrsy and Niya both get obsessed by the red dot and get in a fight that ends with the latter having dozens of quills stuck to her body. Dr. Pet notices the animal in distress and begins plucking out the quills while recieving scratches by Niya.
Kitty is unsure of whether Purrsy is a real cat. Lumpy calls her out and gives Purrsy a hug, impaling himself with a bunch of quills. He plucks them out, leaving dot-like marks of blood on his body. Purrsy and a number of other cats in the area begin attacking Lumpy en masse. Dr. Pet hides in his shell to avoid the chaos.
As most of the pets run out the door, Purrsy is the only one left. Because of this, Kitty declares her the winner by default, awarding her a ribbon. All that remains of Lumpy is his hand, still holding Purrsy's leash. Elsewhere, the escaped cats scavenge on the birds killed by Purrsy. Niya, now covered in bandages, bumps into Wrappy and becomes smitten.
