Bongo (LOD)

Bongo is a fanon character of HTF.

Character Bio[]

Bongo is a brown mandrill who wears a big leafy crown and a loincloth. He also has a unibrow and, like all mandrills, red and blue face markings.

Raised in the jungle as a baby, he later made his way into civilization where he would struggle to fit in due to his limited understanding of English and animalistic behavior. What especially makes him dangerous is his tendency to go savage from camera flashes.

He spends most of his days as a zoo animal locked in his enclosure. Despite his feral mindset, he is shown to be quite competent and even clever, as he can escape with little effort. He is able to hold his own against animal attacks and can even communicate with a wide variety of other species. He has a soft spot for most animals, but will viciously attack anyone who mistreats them. He also tends to dislike most other feral or deranged characters like Zekey and Wilson. Only a few characters, most notably Aisya, are able to tame the wild beast inside him, although in many cases he can be lulled into a false sense of security with food.

He is obviously based off of Tarzan and George of the Jungle.
He is also based on The Baboon, as both can be triggered by bright flashes.
He is friends with Cro-Marmot due to their similar appearances. He is also a friend of Wooly and Rozzie.
He was created the same day as Oddity and Nutley.
He is the second feral character in the series. The first is Zekey.
In 2020, he was redesigned to more resemble a mandrill.
- At one point, he was planned to be rewritten into an animal control officer. But this idea was scrapped.
His fur can vary between being a darker or lighter shade of brown.
