Plushy makes his way to the beach, when he spots Hatchy out at sea, using his shell as a flotation device. Shocked, Plushy tells the lifeguard to do something. The lifeguard happens to be the Mole and is blissfully looking through a pair of binoculars.
Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Plushy heads into the water with an inflatable pool toy. He places it around Hatchy to prevent the little chick from drowning. As he makes his way back to the shore, Marlin swims by and accidentally pops the toy with his nose. The toy deflates, tightening around Hatchy until his eggshell cracks, and his head pops off like a balloon losing air.
Plushy returns to put a cork over Marlin's nose, which Marlin then tries to remove. Herman is now seen getting a tan. Objecting this, Plushy rubs what he believes to sunblock on the crab's body. He also puts two rubber bands around Herman's claws. Then Plushy discovers broken glass littering the beach, so he pulls out a vacuum and begins sucking up the shards.
Herman begins to feel a burning sensation, since it was actually butter that was smeared on his body. He is unable to pick up his sunblock due to the rubber bands on his claws. His screams of pain are unheard because of Plushy's vacuum. Soon much of the sand has been sucked up, leaving the beach nothing but a rocky wasteland.
A flock of gulls crowd around Herman's roasted red body. One gull perches atop of the overstuffed vacuum bag, thinking to peck at it. Plushy begs it not to. The gull pecks it, causing sand and glass shards to burst out. Plushy is pierced by hundreds of shards before being finished off when a beach umbrella impales his chest.
As Marlin continues trying to remove the cork from his nose, lifeguard Mole comes to his aid. He attempts to use a corkscrew for the job but unknowingly stabs Marlin in the eye.
