One of my beloved childhood memories:Garbage Pail Kids. For those who don't know of this obscure thing I'm talking about, Garbage Pail Kids were a series of parody trading cards that originally came out during the 80s but then made a comeback in the mid-2000s/early 2010s era. The characters were obviously supposed to be satirizing the Cabbage Patch Kids but with a unique twist:They were gross, offensive, violent, disturbing, and everything else that kids loved & parents hated. I used to LOVE these things and to this day, I still find them quite humorous. If you are someone who enjoys shocking yet clever humor, I recommend you look up a few of the images on an Internet database called Geepeekay.com. You could probably browse through those things for hours on end and not get bored.
Fun fact:Back when I was a little kid, my first prized possession was a Garbage Pail Kids card called Photo Matt which showed a kid picking his nose in a photo booth. The reasons I liked it were one because my name is Matt and two because that image was a shockingly accurate depiction of my personality back then. We have barely any photos of me at that age where I'm not sticking my tongue out, making weird faces, or otherwise being a complete smartass.
Another fun fact:The Garbage Pail Kids character, Dead Ted is what cured my childhood fear of skeletons and zombies which now that I think about it makes NO sense at all because he is very creepy looking.
I mean look at this thing!? I still can't believe that this didn't make my fear of zombies worse but instead did the exact opposite.
