Plot[]

Todd walks into a funeral home and marches toward a desk where Lumpy is sitting. Discussing the plans for his funeral, the scene enters into his fantasy. Todd begins by saying he'd like to be placed in a gold coffin. He wants his funeral to be expensive, where friends talk about how wonderful he was in life, and a bagpipe is played as he is buried.

But then Todd cuts out of his fantasy because it doesn't seem good enough. The fantasy tunes back to show a giant statue of Todd being placed on his burial site. The day of his death would be a memorial holiday, where soldiers stand by his grave saluting as flags go down. Lumpy writes this, but Todd isn't done with his plans yet.

Now he fantasizes events that should happen after the funeral. A museum would be built dedicated to the history of Todd, accompanied by paintings of him. There would also be Todd Jr. High, which has a statue in its front entrance. And a chain of movies re-enacting Todd's life. There could even be a church of Todd.

It turns out this still isn't enough. Todd envisions himself being cryogenically frozen and brought back to life in the distant future. Raising from the dead in a robotic suit, all the citizens of future earth are to bow down to his great Todd-liness, and he himself would be the president of the world.

Todd ultimately settles on this as his funeral plan. As Lumpy writes this down, he gets splinter from the pencil and accidentally throws it into Todd's chest, killing him. Lumpy thinks for a moment. Later, an apparently expensive funeral occurs surrounded with guests. After the coffin is lowered into the ground, Lumpy makes a quick appearance and tosses Todd's body in along with it.

Moral[]

"Enjoy life while it happens."

Deaths[]

  1. Todd is pierced in the chest by a pencil.
